Horseshoe Wave, 2.65 ft
Well the low water finally drove us up to the mighty Horseshoe Wave, which, as we discovered, is no longer the great wave for playboating that it once was. In fact it was so difficult just to stick a nice long surf on it that we changed the scoring to a more traditional "wave surfing" scoring, where you get one point for every second on the wave, with additional points for tricks. It worked out ok, but I must admit it was not very gratifying to wash off the wave after a few seconds and have that be my ride...but we have to work with what we're given.
All the paddlers made the most of the location and I think we all had a great time. The expert boaters used the opportunity to get some runs in on the Falls on their way down, which added to the excitement.
